I clicked on the RSS Feed link on this page and when I did I was directed to the correct page, however after about second or two the page was redirected to a blank page.
I tried clicking on the same link several times to see if I was redirected to a blank page, and it happened every time.
I don't know if there is something wrong with my computer or not, But I just thought I would let you know in case it is something you need to fix.
P.S. We are a small non-profit organization located in Concord, California about 30 east of San Francisco, California USA. We are just getting started with a website of our own and have no experience in internet marketing. Could your videos help our business to grow and to attract more disabled clients to our website?
If you had clicked on the "RSS Feed" link, it would have taken you to the Feedburner page for my blog. That's what I get when I click on it. Interesting…
RE: Gates of Zion, you can definitely use a Wordpress blog as the platform for your entire site. This makes it easy for all the leaders involved to simply login with their own usernames and passwords, write a new post/page, checkbox the appropriate category, then click Publish to complete the task. Very simple, and this sidesteps the longer learning curve in traditional website publishing.
The videos at WordpressTutorials.com will help you shorten your learning curve in registering a domain name, setting up your host account, setting up your blog, installing it, customizing it, using it, and marketing it.
The Community Central forum will aid in answering additional questions you may have that the videos did not answer. There are already a host of questions and answers in there from other members, so your questions may already be answered in there.
Between the videos, the forum and my monthly webinar for members, you would have a good support environment for learning what you need to grow your website to attract your target visitor to your business.
If you're considering a membership, I look forward to seeing you backstage!
You can always tell that you are honest, good, helpful and always provide more value than people expect. I really stop when I get an email from you and read it. I really enjoyed your email/blog post today and got some great ideas for my blogs. I see that I can do almost anything to enhance and be creative with my blogs to bring in more business.
I tend to keep my blogs very tame to say the least. Not any more!!
Dear Sherman,
I am a small seller on ebay. Basically till now I sell mostly my own staff. I am interested to develope a small, at this point, online business. So, I am reading all the emails which come from everywhere. One of the main sources is ebay and personaly one of ebay executives Mr. Jason James.
Some time ago I've got an email from him highly recomending Liz Tomey's package, which is master resale rights products. In his letter J.J.said " Remember , these products are completely turnkey and ready for sale. (Websites and everything)"
So, I decided to give a try and bought from Liz her the main package and the additions to it ($111.00).
Shortly, I have found out that the project is far , far away from a turnkey, that to be able to try to resell the rights you have at least to create your own webside, to make your own newsletter signup page, to come up with a design, solve all necessary technical problems and of cause to invest some money.
Then, I've got a letter from Liz saying very nice words about you and your project. I listend to your tapes, red your massages. Your project sound to me as a very interested one and upon getting your todays letter I decided to ask your advise for my situation.
Look:
1.I want to develope a small on line business;
2.I have no product to sell;
3.I have business experiance, to a certain degree know the tax law;
4.Very, very good in sale (in retail sale, when you work with live people, with a lot of people at the same time);
5.English is my second language (probably I can't be a writer or a publisher!)
That's it.
Ok. Please, tell me how I can adjust the blogging and your future deveopments Podcasting and Vblogging to meet my goal, to create a business? Does it have sense for me to dive in your ocean?

P.S. In todays letter you give a sample of a working business which has a product. They don't come from the scratch, they are looking to find ways to develope the business. This is different.
Hi Rick, thanks so much for your feedback and I'm thrilled that you received great value from the post. Yes, do take those ideas and run with it, be creative, have fun, get fantastic results with your blog!
Your right on the money with your ideas … "Here's a few tips"
With news print - advertorial is the way to go (without question)
But here's a word of caution…
It's very easy for a new business owner to get an advertorial and receive a very good response at first - get excited - then get locked into a yearly contract with a small display ad that gets a fraction of the replies.
Let say the advertorial gets 10-20 replies - the small display might receive 1-4 replies. There's way too many variables that can swing the numbers either way - But that's just an average of what I've seen with local businesses using news papers here in the Tampa Bay area - and the sales rep designing the ad (not a good idea - with all due respect)
If they use radio - then a talk format is best when possible.
The reason is your listeners are tuned into the "talk format" and less apt to turn the channel during commercials - A lot of morning shows have a good talk format along with a loyal audience.
Radio isn't my favorite because listeners are usually too distracted to jot down phone numbers and directions - However we have a local cigar shop that does well with a cigar talk show.
Here's something that business owners should take note of - The reason both of those work well in their own media types is because of the "state of mind" of the reader and listener at those times - their attention level high and in your direction.
It's the news, story and entertainment that hold and captivate your reader and listener in these two formats…
One more thing - I had a message client who ran a few direct mail ads with a but 1 get 1 free offer that did very well.
We tested a buy 1 get 1 1/2 off and it was as expected - there was a huge drop off in response.
Oh yeah one more, one more thing - If they are concerned that the word FREE will cheapen the image of the business - they can use "At Our Expense" which will actually create a high value on the Free offer.
RE: Your need to create a biz, product etc. + use blogging, podcasting, video to help you create a business…
My videos can help you master blogging with Wordpress, along with the beginnings of working with audio and video on your blogs. However, I'm not the most comprehensive source for your to create a business from nothing.
I would recommend you download Rich Schefren's 3 PDF reports from www.strategicprofits.com, and study them to get your mindset and process off the right path for your first business.
Wow!! It is interesting to see all the things that can be done with a blog!
Now I just have to learn how to do it all. I am working my way through your videos. It is slow, but it is coming!!
Thanks again!

Hey Sherman,
It's always a pleasure back here.
The 1st ad for the message was a buy 1 get 1 - not a "but" 1 get 1.
A "message and but offer"
Hmm, I better not go there…
